Nassau County Traffic Study Request – AIM 25-500971 (official Nassau County case number)

This page documents an active Nassau County traffic safety case currently under review.

The Problem

North Broadway in North Massapequa is a busy roadway used daily by children, teens, families with strollers, elderly residents, and pedestrians heading to nearby businesses. Despite this, there are missing pedestrian signals, faded or unmarked crosswalks, and long stretches with no safe crossing options.

Kids regularly cross North Broadway to reach the elementary school, two dance studios, two ice cream shops, a grocery store location, pizza places, and other neighborhood destinations. With no pedestrian lights and poorly marked crossings, this area poses a serious danger.
